Description
My client is a leading production and processing company with a great reputation within their respective sectors. It is a major employer within the area, and has had a presence in Scotland for over 100 years.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrician Maintenance Engineer / Electrician to join their team on their Ayrshire facility.

The site is commutable from Glasgow (and surrounding areas), Paisley and Renfrewshire.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns
  • Electrical fault finding
  • Fault finding on PLC systems
  • General electrical / mechanical maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities
  • Working closely with the process engineering and quality engineering teams
  • Supporting colleagues with project work

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A time served apprenticeship, with an electrical bias
  • Experience of electrical maintenance gained in the manufacturing sector
  • Experience of fault finding on PLC systems
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Must be flexible to 4 on 4 off nigthshift / dayshift rota
