Contract:12 Month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time

Salary:
£34,299- £36,098 with excellent benefits

About the Team:


The WaterAid Programme Support Unit is a diverse, motivated, and fun group of 30 technical experts, specialists, advisors, and managers, passionate about bringing sustainable WASH access to the world's poorest and most marginalised people.

PSU exists to provide thought leadership, specialist support, normative guidance, learning, knowledge management, and planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting support across the organisation, particularly to WaterAid country programmes.


About the Role:


As our committed and dynamic Technical Officer (Knowledge Management), you will support the technical development and manage processes related to the administration and operation of the WaterAid Sanitation and Water Operator Partnerships (SWOP) knowledge platform, to ensure that the capabilities of the platform are fully utilised by all SWOP partners to enhance the delivery of work between water utilities and service providers remotely.

In this role, you will support technical development and manage processes related to the administration and operation of a knowledge and skill sharing platform for WaterAid's Sanitation and Water Operator Partnerships as well as deliver an exceptional experience of skill share initiatives for SWOP partners.


To be successful, you'll need:


  • Experience with WordPress and WordPress modules
  • Experience in design and management of knowledge management systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide excellent customer service and support to companies or individuals at all levels
  • Highlevel of crosscultural awareness
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have some of the following:

  • Experience with MySQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Understanding of and interest in international development
  • Experience delivering end user training
  • Experience of working within multidiscipline teams
  • Interest in knowledge management/online learning
  • Experience working with DevOps teams and agile development
  • Experience delivering virtual mentoring using Moodle or other learning management system
