Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Saturday Theatre School. Thewhile fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Hours:
Saturdays from 9:00-1:00pm. Term time only.
Responsibilities:
1.
Classroom Support:
Assist the Performing Arts Teacher during lessons, rehearsals, and
performances, ensuring a smooth and organized learning experience.
2.
Student Engagement:
Engage with students during activities, encouraging participation,
creativity, and self-expression.
3.
Material Preparation:
Help prepare teaching materials, props, and equipment needed for
lessons and performances.
4.
Individual Support:
Provide one-on-one assistance to students who may need extra help with
tasks or understanding concepts.
5.
Behavior Management:
Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and disciplined
classroom environment, reinforcing school rules and expectations.
6.
Safety and Supervision:
Ensure the safety and well-being of students during class hours,
transitions, and breaks.
7.
Communication:
Maintain open communication with the teacher, parents, and school staff
regarding students' progress, concerns, and achievements.
8.
Assessment Assistance:
Assist in assessing students' progress through observations, feedback
collection, and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or arts-related setting.
- Passion for performing arts and working with young students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage and motivate children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of singing, dancing, or acting is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to undergo any necessary background checks or training required for working with
