Part time over 3-4 days (0.6)

£26,458 - £40,020 per annum pro rota depending on qualifications and expertise

Based at the Welwyn Garden City Campus
Are you passionate about music and driven to inspire and motivate learners?


The Music Department are seeking a self-motivated and innovative Lecturer to teach on the UAL in Music Performance (Level 3), UAL in Music Production (Level 3), UAL Music Level 2 courses and possibly Higher National Diploma in Music courses.

You will be an experienced musician and have experience of playing and recording music.

You will at a competent standard on your 1st instrument so as to provide tuition to both level 2 and 3 learners as well as teach practical and academic units as required by the courses.

The ability to play and teach a second instrument is desirable though not essential.


You will also be expected to have some experience of Music Production and should have some skill with recording, mixing and live sound.

You will be expected to teach across a variety of units throughout our Music Performance and Music Production provision.

You will be actively involved in the internal verification process and preparing the department for external verification.


At our campus in Welwyn Garden City, we are fully committed to our Music provision and have dedicated areas including rehearsal rooms, a fully equipped recording Studio with Pro Tools software, and a dedicated Mac suite with Logic Pro software.
