Mental Health Worker in Rural Services - Chichester, United Kingdom - West Sussex Mind
Description
Overview
West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to promoting mental well-being in local communities and supporting the recovery and independence of individuals we provide support to.
The mental health support services provide structured support helping individuals to identify what they need and what they want to achieve around their mental health and then supporting them to develop the confidence and skills to make this happen.
We work alongside other organisations within the Pathfinder West Sussex Alliance to enable people with mental health support needs and their carers to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
This is a community-based role in a beautiful part of the county and is an opportunity to be creative to build partnerships and develop mental health support within rural communities.
The role covers rural North Chichester and rural South Horsham, so it could be one full time role or it could be a job share.
Successful applicants will provide recovery focused 1:1 and group support and learning opportunities as well as developing peer led support within services.
As well as having some experience of working with people with mental health problems post-holders will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for recovery focused mental health work and show that they can be a strong team player with real commitment to their work.
They will also need to have initiative and be able to contribute to the direction and development of the service.
