The University has established TU Enterprise and Innovation Ltd (TUEI) to enable their strategic ambitions, grow income and commercialise their offer by bringing together academic excellence and commercial expertise.

The ambition is to incubate new opportunities from ideation to business planning, investment, and implementation.

Opportunities exist that are ripe for development, including the commercial exploitation of our digital assets, games accelerator start up programme, our payroll bureau, science facilities, and development of a student employment agency.

There is ambition to create a venture fund to invest in, spin out and scale successful business ideas.

Role


Driving the development of TUEI's commercial strategy and delivering actionable business plans and manage TUEI's commercial performance ensuring income generation targets and KPIs are achieved, you will be strategic, ambitious, and commercially focused on growing income through the identification and delivery of commercial opportunities.

You


Highly adept at commercial development from opportunity identification through to contract negotiation and performance monitoring in a commercial/business environment, you will have a practical understanding of the commercialisation of intellectual property.

Your action orientation will be underpinned by an ability to develop and exploit excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, together with the ability to negotiate commercial contracts and liaise productively with external partners in relation to contract performance management.
