James Brown Mechanical Services Ltd is recruiting for Mechanical Fitters with extensive experience in the mechanical sector for work in Cambridgeshire.

Purpose of the role

• To perform all required pipefitting tasks, safely, consistently and in accordance with project requirements, procedures and specifications.

Prime responsibilities and duties

• Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the piping / assembly work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor.
• Manufacture, Installation, and testing of pipes and pipe supports in accordance with drawings/sketches and specifications.
• Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable workpack / job card instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches
• Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multidisciplinary team.
• Provide timely feedback to supervisor or plant operator of ongoing status or completion of the task.
• Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.
• Adhere to all applicable company policies, working practices and procedures as communicated by the company from time to time.

Qualifications/Training

Essential:

• 4 Year Apprenticeship or Level 2 NVQ equivalent
• City and Guilds (C&G) in Plumbing, Pipework Erection, Pipework Fabrication and / or NVQ Level 3 in related trade.

Preferable:

• JIB/CSCS Card
• Driving License

We also undertake the installation of water tanks, pump booster sets, pressurisation units, plate heat exchangers and alike, using a wide range of products from the relationships we have built up over the years with the leading manufacturers.

Our work with the healthcare industry has made us very aware of the risk that legionella can cause.

Due to this we offer any remedial works that may be associated with the reduction / removal of bacteria within any domestic services, even covering the use of chlorination to clean the system.

Salary:
£16.50-£20.00 per hour
