We are partnering with a UK-based Financial Institution providing Trade Finance services globally, assisting them with their restructure and development across the organisation.

The firm require an experience Finance Manager professional from the bankingsector who has exposure to Regulatory reporting, Treasury and budget management.

This role will directly report to the CFO.


You will be responsible for the following:

  • Contribute to the formulation of the UK business plan
  • Undertake and document an appraisal with line manager in accordance with the Firm's reporting and appraisal process
  • Manage implementation of Board and Committee decisions
  • Maintenance of the Firm's Customer Service Standards, including complaints handling Control
  • Responsible for daily checking of relevant Bankmaster reports.
  • Responsible for implementing base rate changes as and when required.
  • Responsible for preparation and presentation of all reports relevant to the position for committees and/or members
  • Responsible for timely checks and adjustments on relevant accounts, limits and rates
  • Responsible for preparing of annual revenue and expenditure budget
  • Responsible for annual completion of S17 return to HMRC and to ensure the payment of tax realised against interest and the submission of quarterly CT61 returns to HMRC
  • Responsible for annual preparation and submission of audited balance sheet to FCA/PRA and Companies House
  • Draft Budget preparation for management to finalise.
  • Daily Liquidity Reports
  • Daily Nostro Reconciliations

As the role develops you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate submission of FCA/PRA/EBA & Bank of England returns.
  • Responsible for draft corporation tax computation for submission to the Firm's Tax adviser to finalise.
  • Adhere to the the Firm's policies and procedures and propose amendments where needed
  • Ensure that any unusual matter is reported immediately to the Line Manager, Money Laundering Reporting Officer as appropriate.
  • Be a member of the Assets & Liabilities Committee, Credit Committee, and any other committee that may be formed from time to time
  • Act as Secretary to the Purchase Committee.
  • Prepare branch performance statement
  • Prepare monthly Directors Information Pack.
  • Checking and Signing of invoices / payments processed by the Administration department.
  • Responsible for liaison with external audit as and when required
  • Responsible for production of ICAAP with assistance from relevant departments.
  • Any other report relevant for the Financial control department

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years banking experience with experience of managing control function at this level
  • You will be a senior Finance professional ideally from the banking sector.
  • Experience of achieving a banking license would be beneficial.
  • Qualified ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA/ FCCA/ ICAEW
  • Degree holder
  • Ideally have a Treasury management (FX/MM) background
