Portfolio and Product Delivery manage the delivery of technology led change, partnering with colleagues across UCL.

We collaborate as cross functional agile teams and have core capabilities in experience, development & test, analysis and agile delivery management.

Within ITPPD, the Digital Experience team provides the following services to UCL:

  • Development, support and maintenance of the Drupal web content management system, including editor support and training
  • Management of the UCL online brand and Indigo design framework
  • Oversight of the Content Operations Framework, which governs content management and user experience
  • Content lifecycle support, including information architecture development, user research and testing, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) advice and support, and website analytics advice and support

About the role:

This is an exciting time to join the Digital Experience team as a Digital Support Officer.

Our remit is expanding to include digital experience in the widest sense and you will support colleagues across UCL to use the platforms which underpin digital experience, as well as provide expertise and consultancy in user experience, digital accessibility, information architecture and content design.

The team and wider digital community are embarked on a far-reaching content management transformation programme, therefore your role responsibilities will be varied will include:

  • Responding to digital support queries
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of our digital services and content operations framework, particularly as we move to an upgraded CMS and roll out new designs across the digital estate
  • Supporting our user communities in best use of our digital platforms
  • Defining and disseminating best practice
  • Contributing to digital content initiatives
  • Facilitating user insight activity
  • Please note this is a 12month fixed term contract opportunity working hybrid with on average 12 days onsite a week in our London Kings Cross office._

About you:


As a digital/ web -focussed Content Management System professional, you have experience using web content management technologies (ideally Drupal) and are comfortable supporting colleagues how to use web based CMS's.

You're a proactive and well-organised self-starter and enjoy providing great customer service with a commitment to driving continuous service improvement.

Additionally, you're passionate about supporting colleagues with differing levels of digital expertise to embed user-centric practices in their work and are familiar with the principles of content design, digital accessibility and user experience.

Although not essential, knowledge of Agile development methodologies would be highly advantageous as would specific experience using Drupal.
