Monday to Thursday, 2pm - 12am or,

Monday to Thursday 7am - 3.30pm, and Friday 7am - 12md.

The role

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the world of fabric finishing? We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our fast-paced team in our Inspection and Mechanical areas.

If you thrive in a hands-on role, possess a meticulous eye for detail, and enjoy working independently, then this opportunity is tailor-made for you

As a member of our Fabric Finishing team, you will be responsible for both mechanical finishing and inspection tasks.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

Mechanical Finishing:


  • Operating machinery such as raising machines to finish blankets and industrial fabrics.
  • Running fabric finishing equipment to brush and turn products.
  • Collaborating with the department to ensure fabrics are produced according to scheduled delivery times.
  • Recording specifications and work times onto computer and paper records.

Inspection:


  • Conducting quality control and visual inspections of fabrics to check weight, appearance, and colour against product specifications.
  • Identifying and documenting faults or discrepancies.
  • Recording inspection results using our inhouse system and Excel.
  • Collaborating with Production and Technical teams to troubleshoot issues and meet deadlines.

General Maintenance and Housekeeping:


  • Assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and departmental cleanliness.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Required Skills:


  • Attention to detail in handling and processing fabrics.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in computer usage.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Desired Skills:


  • Previous experience in têxtile manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with machinery operation.
  • Experience in fabric inspection and data recording.
