Accountancy Recruit is partnering a client in Edinburgh to appoint a Finance Business Partner. This is a very exciting time to join a growing business that is at the forefront of their field.

The business is expected to develop very quickly therefore there is opportunity to take on more responsibility as the business evolves.

The role would suit a Commercial Accountant, Project Accountant or Finance Business Partner.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced, changing environment with a strong commercial mindset and financial modelling skills.

The Finance Business Partner will have the following responsibilities:


  • Support in the preparation of management accounts and reporting, presentation of Board pack.
  • Produce robust financial forecasts, budgets and business plans for individual contracts and monitor performance against budget.
  • Business partner operations to review financial performance of contracts and manage costs.
  • Prepare project/investment financial plans.
  • Implement best practice to develop business partnering model.
  • Assist in designing and implementing new processes and creating a finance function fit for purpose.
  • Review business forecasting and modelling process and supporting IT solutions proposing, designing and implementing improvements to satisfy project nature of the business.
  • Adhoc business evaluation & implementation projects.
  • Provide general support to the duties of the Finance Team and assist with annual audit, onboarding new bankers, documentation of group policies and procedures, insurance management, investor agreement management, tax management.
To be successful in this role the Finance Business Partner will have the following experience

and skills:

  • Qualified finance professional.
  • Strong business partnering experience.
  • Excellent financial modelling and Excel experience.
  • Ability to communicate financial data to non finance colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ambitious, detail oriented, keen to develop and take on additional responsibility.
The salary advertised for this role is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.

£70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
