The role
As a Data Support Officer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a pivotal and exciting role enhancing compliance to licensing conditions that support the nuclear submarine programme.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for maintaining our confidential nuclear baseline database for all stakeholders on site.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Configuration management of Nuclear Baseline Management Tool (NBMT) against agreed management of change submissions, ensuring the nuclear baseline remains aligned to business requirements
  • Provision and analysis of data held on NBMT in preparation for nuclear baseline reviews
  • Support with the generation of business reports for Organisational Capability Team (OCT) to input to DRDL Governance Boards
  • Act as a point of contact for nuclear baseline data information, providing advice and guidance to the business

Essential experience of the Data Support Officer:

  • Experience of working with confidential data and within a regulatory environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, data manipulation, analysis and presentation
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and logically, both verbally and in writing
  • Customer focused
  • Good organisational and time management skills


We offer hybrid flexible working with a requirement to be on site in Devonport at least 3 days per week.


Qualifications for the Data Support Officer:

  • A Level 3 in a STEM or Business Administration discipline or higher
  • GCSE English, Maths, at Grade C or above or equivalent
