    Job Description

    Unit Catering Manager required working 25 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only at various schools across the Solihull borough and on occasions Coventry.

    This role involves undertaking general kitchen duties, requiring an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual.

    You must be approachable, understanding the diverse needs of customers, and able to respond to their individual requirements.

    Responsibilities

    1. To set and maintain a high standard of quality food presentation and service.
    2. All food being served must be at the right temperature, garnished and served in an appropriate manner.
    3. Serve meals and assist customers in choosing dishes.
    4. Ordering, preparation, and cooking of food following the Centralised menu plan for breakfasts, lunches, buffets, and promotions.
    5. Ensure the Governments Nutritional / Food based Standards are met.
    6. Compile and submit statistical documentation required by the central administration office.
    7. Prepare or delegate preparation of dining areas for all types of catering requirements, including function catering.

    A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for this position.

    Requirements

    • NVQ Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles.
    • Level 2 Food Safety certification.
