We have a fantastic opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our friendly Credit Control team based in our Hooton office.

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, your role will be to ensure that that debts are paid in a timely manner for each business unit ledger whilst adhering to and maintaining the credit policy for AMP.


This is a varied role and would be the perfect opportunity for an individual who is keen to excel and grow their skills within the finance sector.


The Role will involve:


  • Reducing the risk of bad debt to the company
  • Maintaining accurate records of all communication activity and updating systems accordingly
  • Setting and agreeing credit limits and payment terms for new and existing accounts using online credit checking facility
  • Building good working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Assisting in the maintenance and review of existing credit limits and terms
  • Responding promptly to customer and internal enquiries

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a personable and confident individual who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and has the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a Finance or Credit Control role
  • Demonstrable experience of calling customers
  • Excellent accuracy and thorough attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Able to demonstrate integrity and honesty
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and Teams

Additional Information:


  • Location: AMP, Oaklands Office Park, Hooton, Cheshire, CH66 7NZ
  • Competitive salary to be discussed at interview.
  • Hours of work: 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 08:3017:00, with 30 minutes for lunch unpaid
  • Hybrid working two days per week (Monday and Friday)
