Job Description - Dance Teacher (Part-time)


JC Sports are looking to recruit several energetic part time dance teachers to join our growing team at JC Sports.

Our part time dance teachers will run before and after school dance clubs across our schools with potentially opportunity to teacher dance during the day in the future.

This position in suitable for someone looking to add to their current teaching timetable, currently studying or someone hoping to progress into a full-time role in the future.


Responsibilities and Duties
You will be able be to demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of how to plan and deliver a wide range of dance classes aimed at the primary age range.
  • Ability to work both with other members of staff as well as individually.
  • Understanding of the differences between the age groups and abilities in a range of schools.
  • Strong behaviour management ability.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.

Qualifications and Skills:


ESSENTIAL:
Dance qualifications and experience

Experience of working with children.

Full driving licence


DESIRABLE:
Paediatric Level 3 First aid qualified (or willing to gain qualification)

Trained in Safeguarding Children (or willing to gain qualification).

Enhance DBS Checked (or willing to gain qualification).
