  • about 5 hours agoOur client, a market leader in its specialist field with a stellar reputation for quality, is looking to hire a credible Head of Finance to join its team. Reporting directly to the MD, this role will play a key role in delivering finance strategy, driving performance of the business and developing strong financial controls.

Main duties include:

  • Responsibility for the forecasting of the business P&L, balance sheet and inventory position
  • Member of the Management Team, supporting setting the strategic direction of the business
  • Closure and sign off for the financial statements at month and year end
  • Prepare and present at Board Meetings
  • Provide strategic analysis to assist business planning and decision making
  • Prepare budgets
  • Manage all capital expenditure
  • Develop direct reports through coaching and support
  • Attend business review meetings with key stakeholders

Key skills and experience required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accounting standards, coupled with impressive commercial awareness and proven business partnering
  • Planning, budgeting and forecasting skills
  • Proven track record shaping and delivering strategy
  • Proactive and positive approach, track record of problem solving
  • Ability to influence at all levels and build relationships with ease
  • Proven leader, capable of managing a range of skills levels and backgrounds
  • Strong industry experience gained in product/manufacturing related environments
