Description

To further strengthen the leadership and support our ambitious growth journey, Service Express needs an
Infrastructure Manager. They will be responsible for the operation, management and maintenance of all UK and European infrastructure.

They must ensure infrastructure is performing at optimum levels.

This is a
Hybrid opportunitywhere we would look for the Infrastructure Manager to be in the office between 2 and 3 days per week.


Success for this individual will rest heavily on their ability to think and act as a business leader, to build trusting relationships with the senior management team and our customers and work collaboratively across the whole business, including colleaguesin the US.


Here's what this position is all about:

  • Lead the IT Infrastructure resources to improve infrastructure cost, performance and customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the 10 engineers in the team.
  • Build a culture, where everyone strives to do their best to deliver great service to the customer and value for Service Express
  • Act as a change leader and drive the continuous evolution of the delivery organisation
  • Work closely with all colleagues to drive change across the entire organisation
  • Continuously look for new ways of delivering solutions/service to our customers going forward
  • Ensure infrastructure SLAs are met
  • Ensure IT assets are recorded, tracked and up to date
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure Infrastructure is aligned and supports inplace frameworks (such as ISO27001, SOC2)
  • Ensure support teams have tools and resources to delivery efficient, good quality service
  • Deliver sufficient infrastructure capacity
  • Be technical escalation point for any infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure all systems are monitored, and any issues resolved quickly

  • Has detailed working knowledge of many key technologies and services including
  • IBMi, Unix, x86, SAN, VMWare, IaaS and networking.
  • Understands cloud and onpremise technologies
  • Has experience in working in MSP
  • Has working knowledge of Security best practices
  • Has ability to build credible relationships outside of their reporting structure through proven powerful communication and persuasion skills. Can quickly build trust and achieve collective buyin across the whole of the business
  • Has 810 years of industry experience
  • Has substantial experience with operating within B2B services in the UK/Europe, ideally for a US headquartered business
  • Has prior experience with optimising processes, tools, technology and people
