Description

We are looking for an Estimator with experience in Joinery and Timber manufactured products. The company design, manufacture, build and fit out their own products.

This is a permanent position.

You will ideally have the following skills:

Great at communicating
Sound knowledge and understanding of machinery within the business
Ability to prioritise workload

Main duties will include:

Understanding client briefs and asking pertinent questions if anything is missing
Advising customers on project viability and alternatives.
Producing estimates based on customer brief using both the necessary tools and equipment.
Understand and completing tenders for clients requirements
Work well under pressure and be able to prioritise effectively based on given factors (client, production date, deadline etc)
Understanding the commercial viability of each estimate produced and profitability
Understand the schedule given for an estimate and whether it is achievable
Provide in depth handovers between departments when an estimate becomes an order
