Description

We have 3 new prescription administrator posts, one based at each Recovery Centre in the County Durham Drug and Alcohol service.

The posts are being advertised on a temporary contract because of funding this year, we will be monitoring the posts and identifying their effectiveness, this will enable us to then potentially turn them into permanent posts.

The posts are to support a team of prescribing nurses to communicate with local pharmacies and ensure that prescriptions are where they should be once they have been signed by the clinical team.


The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Team and support the prescribing process and delivery of prescriptions to local pharmacies.

The post holder will also be required to review excel data sheets and manipulate to identify current script need, manage clinical diaries to coordinate appointments with recovery workers and clinical prescribers be first line contact for pharmacy colleagues and secure dispensing positions for service users.
