We are currently recruiting a Band 2 Nursing assistant to join our ever expanding clinical and non-clinical team on the Paediatric Critical Care Unit.

The successful applicant will be working in collaboration with registered nurses to support this busy & diverse team. Applicants should be well organised with a professional friendly manner & have excellent communication skills.

They should be able to use their own judgement to resolve issues, and have a tactful, sensitive approach to dealing with difficult situations.

They should be able to work well under pressure with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to suggest ideas for improvements.


The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

As a member of the team be able to prioritise and contribute to the delivery of high standards of care to patients, families and their carers in a safe and supportive environment under the direction of a registered practitioner.

As part of the wider team assist in developing and maintaining services provided to patients and contribute to the safe, efficient and smooth running of the department.

To maintain the dignity and privacy of all patients and their families and carers and respect their right to confidentiality.
