Finance Officer (Sales Orders)


CONTRACT:
Fixed Term until 31st August 2023, Full Time (35 hours per week)

ROLE OVERVIEW:

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer with immediate start. You will be working as part of a small and friendly team and will be the first point of contact for raising of sales invoices

You must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot and lookup tables. Excellent communication skills are also essential.


MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILTIES:

Conversion of Sales Order Data to sales invoices_
To ensure that all sales orders are converted to Sales Invoices in a timely manner by:

  • Checking the sales order data report is complete and investigate and update any missing fields
  • Import the sales order data csv file to the finance accounts software converting to the correct sales document type
  • Check the sales invoices and journals for accuracy with correct date and correct period
  • Attach the relevant supplier purchase order to the document where applicable
  • Print the sales invoices checking that all sales invoice documents have printed

Other Duties_

  • At all times demonstrate and uphold the Society's values and behavioural standards
  • To show flexibility, working closely with other team members to ensure that all Business Plan, Performance and Financial targets are achieved
  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 by complying with internal information governance policies and maintaining up to date documentation as part of RLSS's compliance programme.
  • To carry out any other duties as directed by your Line Manager

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Should have relevant experience in a similar finance role
  • You must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot and lookup tables.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Should be a selfstarter and able to work effectively in a highly pressurised environment
  • Must be computer literate, preferably with experience of Windows, Excel, Outlook, and Word

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

£22,889.16 per year
