An exciting opportunity has opened up to work within the Practice Education and Development team. You will support the administrative tasks of both the Practice Education and Practice Development teams.


As part of the development of our new Health and Care Academy and our ongoing investment into staff development, we are looking for an exceptional team member who will contribute efficiently to the running of both teams, providing an effective clerical support service.

To provide a clerical and administrative service in support to both the Practice Education and Practice Development Teams.

Contribution to the smooth running of Practice Education and Practice Development Team by efficiently providing an effective clerical support service

Work within a clear framework of delegated tasks but without continuous supervision

Use a range of communication skills, including written and oral skills. They will communicate information to staff, partner organisations and managers. Information will be team specific and will be based upon existing policies and procedures including terms & conditions of service

Efficiently manage the staff inbox daily and demonstrate effective escalation according to the defined organisational and team processes


Northumbria Healthcare Foundation Trust manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England.


We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres.

The post holder will work with colleagues and will be required to use initiative in routine tasks; supervision will be readily available for other queries

The post holder will handle confidential information and will be required to observe the relevant Trust policies and procedures

The post holder will be required to answer routine queries arising from staff regarding the provision of information & resources

The post holder will be required to exercise judgments to respond to enquiries and direct supervision will be readily available

The post holder will be required to organise their own workload on a daily basis with direct supervision

Able to travel to visit other hospitals within the Trust

Requires standard IT keyboard skills

To demonstrate efficient stationary stock control
