Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participate in all stages of the design process from concept to completion, reporting to the director.
  • Lead the creative development of concepts, FF&E design and space planning to the highest level.
  • Create photorealistic visuals to the highest of standards
  • Inspire and motivate the design team, overseeing Middleweight & Junior Designers across projects and the design studio.
  • Prepare and develop presentations for client meetings, with assistance from more junior members of the team.
  • Coordinate and oversee project documentation such as schedules, specifications and design intent packages and ensure they are being produced to a high quality.
  • Monitoring the daily tasks of Mid Weight & Junior Designers and ensuring that all administrative records are being completed thoroughly and company standards are being met.
  • Train new employees across all software.
  • Provide regular updates to the director.
  • Conduct site visits and liaise with trades, managing information provided by suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Put together estimates, costings and budgets with financial understanding.
  • Lead the procurement process.
  • Manage project programmes under the direction of the director, with assistance from Mid Weight & Junior Designers, ensuring a seamless project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 6 years of professional experience in a design studio, ideally in luxury residential.
  • Relevant Interior Design / Interior Architecture Qualification.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Vray, In Design and Adobe Photoshop with strong project management, organisational skills and ability to train new employees in all software.
  • Proficient in management software and Microsoft Office, with a good understanding of the FF&E procurement process.
  • On site experience and knowledge of liaising with architects, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ability to interface with clients, hold their own and interpret and deliver their requirements.
  • Vast knowledge of FF&E suppliers, products and finishes.
  • Works well under pressure with an aptitude for multitasking and efficiency.
  • An eye for detail and a meticulous approach.

Salary - Negotiable

From £30,000.00 per year
