A vacancy has arisen for an adaptable Hospital Administrator at Liskeard Community Hospital.

The post holder will need to work flexibly across areas of the hospital routinely at the needs of the service which may change throughout the day.

The role encompasses covering MIU, Main Reception, OPD or Xray reception areas.

There may also be occasions when the postholder will be required to provide administrative support to the wards covering the Ward Administrator role.

The post holder will need to provide a competent and efficient service within the administrative and clerical team at Liskeard Community Hospital.

The post is 30 hours per week supporting the team to provide administrative cover Tuesday to Friday (8.30 to with one hour for lunch).

Whilst the work days are Tuesday to Friday, on occasion there may be a requirement for the postholder to be flexible at times of sickness or staffing.


Liskeard Community Hospital is a busy community hospital with a variety of services including an MIU department, out-patient department, Xray and two wards - Oak with 31 beds and Willow with 19 beds.

To provide full clerical support to various key functions within the hospital setting and/or clinical team. Assist in the continuity of service by working from reception on a rotational basis.

Be the first point of contact for all patients, visitors and members of the public attending the hospital / clinic and ensure they are fully assisted as required.

To provide administrative functions within a hospital or clinical team setting, supporting a range of services which could include:
Minor Injuries Unit

Out-patient

In-patient

X-ray Department

A range of clinical teams

Therapy Services

External Partner organisations
