Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with additional needs and challenging behaviour? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEND) Teaching Assistant for a role at a well established secondary school in North Liverpool.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, focused on providing support to students who require additional assistance due to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with challenging behaviour.
Support the classroom teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Provide 11 or small group support to students, ensuring their engagement and progress.
Help students to manage their behaviour and emotions effectively.
Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff members to develop strategies for student support.

Requirements:

Relevant experience working with students with challenging behavior or special educational needs is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and resilience when dealing with challenging situations.
A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of students.

Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
Any additional qualifications or certifications related to special educational needs would be advantageous.

Location:
Liverpool, UK

Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday

Salary:
Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
