Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all existing strategies, tests, and processes are actively monitored, in line with policy and responsible lending guidelines and executed in line with expectations and within Value and Risk hurdles.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to create or optimise credit strategies, credit processes, or processes within other departments.
  • Driving the design and delivery of tactical and strategic changes to strategies and processes.
  • Ensuring that the risk appetite is maintained within limit to support the delivery of the P&L target.
  • Driving the implementation of robust and measurable tests.
  • Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems using independence of thought.
  • Analyse and make recommendations that help inform the development of policy, scorecards, and strategies.
  • Investigate data, find trends, forecast performance, and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Provide insight/set expectations through targeted analysis, forecasting, and development of regular MI.
  • Accountable (solely or with others) for regular reporting or process administration as owner.
  • Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and contribute to workflow/process change redesign, forming a good understanding of the specific product or process.
  • Support the development of analysts within the wider team.
  • Peerreview analysis of other team members.
  • Understand Customer impact of role.

Skills desired:

  • Relevant experience in personal/retail financial services
  • Proficient in SAS/SQL with practical experience in a commercial environment.
  • Database extraction and reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of Credit Reference Agency data, scores and characteristics.
  • Clear, logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy focused.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
