    Build Your Engineering Career with Ibstock PLC - Dual-Skilled Apprentice Engineer

    Location: Parkhouse Factory, Parkhouse Industrial Estate, Speedwell Rd, Crackley, Newcastle ST5 7RZ

    Distance from nearby locations: 10 minutes from Stoke-on-Trent, 15 minutes from Keele, 20 minutes from Crewe, 35 minutes from Uttoxeter.

    What We Offer

    • Starting salary: £21,415.68 per annum, with yearly pay increases upon successful completion of each year.
    • A nationally recognised qualification and the skills needed to become a qualified multi-skilled engineer.
    • Full-time training at MAKE UK Training School; in your first year you will be residential and live in Birmingham in 4-week blocks. We cover all travel and accommodation costs when staying over at Make UK.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Supporting our engineering team with the maintenance of plant equipment and preventative tasks.
    • Studying a range of subjects, including Electronic Fault Finding, Features and Applications of Electrical Machines, and Principles and Operations of Three Phase Systems.
    • Going forward you will also study a number of Mechanical units in both your knowledge and competency qualifications such as Maintaining Mechanical Equipment and Mechanical Fault Diagnosis to build your expertise in both electrical and mechanical engineering.
    • Developing key computer skills, as you'll input data into our maintenance system and help analyse production data.

    Who We're Looking For


    We're looking for practical, hands-on individuals with the drive and passion to gain real-world experience with a market-leading company. If you have:

    • 5 GCSEs at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science
    • A genuine interest in engineering and a desire to learn
    • A full UK driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
