Description

The post holder will provide a supportive role to the clinical caseload as well as undertaking administrative duties within the Falls Team.

Teamwork is an essential component of this post.

IT skills are highly desirable as there will be a responsibility for administrative support to the referral and administrative systems within the department.

The AHP Support Worker will provide patient interventions which will include being at a person's home to address needs, including equipment provision/physiotherapy assessment and follow up/ liaising with families, carers and multiagency working, with a focus on falls prevention.

All staff are supported to deliver the best service possible through expanding skills and knowledge, streamlining service and providing the best in patient care.

Informal visits are welcome.

In line with the evidence base and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health Professions will be moving towards 7 day working.

This is for improved patient outcomes and to maximise a person-centred equitable approach to care.

Therefore all new contracts for AHP staff will be for a 5 out of 7 days service / rota to enable the service to be ready to move to a safe and effective 7 day service.

N.B. Currently there is no weekend working in the AHP led Falls Team.
