We are seeking a friendly, professional Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support on a full-time basis within one of our partner schools based in Southampton.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will be a calm, reliable individual who can work 1:1 with students. Some of these students may present with challenging behaviour, and therefore you must be confident working with this.

To be considered for the position of teaching assistant with Teaching Personnel, you will:

  • Be passionate about teaching children
  • Be patient, caring and engaging
  • Be enthusiastic about education
  • Be supportive and helpful
  • Confident with Maths, Science and English to a GCSE level
  • Hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
  • Child only

Duties will include:

  • Developing the character of the young people
  • Boosting selfconfidence and selfesteem
  • Being a positive role model for students
  • Supporting inside and outside the classroom
  • Providing 121 and small group support
  • Safeguarding pupils and protecting their wellbeing

Details of the role:

  • Full time role Monday-Friday
  • Working with students aged 1118 years
  • Competitive salary from £10.77 per hour
  • Weekly pay via PAYE
  • FREE CPD training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
