About the role:


As our Clinical Content Lead, you will be responsible for contributing to content strategy and will be responsible for producing digital content to a high standard of medical accuracy.

This will include blogs and video for the company website and marketing channels (online content, social media as well as internal patient facing documentation including patient information leaflets).


This is a key role where you will work closely with both content and medical teams at the strategy and quality assurance stage of content production.

This is a part-time position 4 days per week.


What you'll be doing in the role:

  • Input into the research and planning stage of our content
  • sharing your insights from patient experience, medical guidelines, and the latest thinking to help shape content hubs on specific topics.
  • Review and update existing blog articles and web copy to ensure all advice is according to Dermatica's tone of voice, medically safe, medically accurate, and aligns with current guidelines.
  • Writing, reviewing, or rewriting health content to briefs commissioned by the content team.
  • Review medical guidance and information and repurpose it into easytounderstand copy for a global audience, where English may not be the first language.
  • Support the production of sciencebacked selfcare or lifestyle content, that meets user needs.
  • Work closely with the medical and content team to plan and coordinate Dermatica content.
  • Work closely with the new product development team to advise on potential new ingredients, write copy for new products and assist in the review of both prescription and nonprescription products by a panel of dermatologists.
  • Be responsible for the accuracy of all clinical information that is disseminated by Dermatica and ensure there is a consistent clinical message across the business on key topics (e.g. when to expect results).
  • Present on camera: happy to film social media both at home and in the studio.
  • Present on podcast: happy to record at home (with appropriate equipment) or in studio.
  • Confident to interview key opinion leaders and host Instagram/Facebook lives.
  • Contribute to crossfunctional quality improvement projects led by other doctors in the business which may include audit or research activities.
  • Clinical advice and guidance to a team of clinical reviewers (pharmacists) and other health care professionals

What you'll bring to HeliosX:


Knowledge & Experience

  • Medical Degree Fully GMC registered with full MPS/MDU cover.
  • Previous digital health/medical content experience including reviewing or writing pieces
  • Experience in writing or editorial work or video content including reviewing/presenting
  • Social media experience and following
  • Startup or health tech experience
  • Comfortable writing standard operating procedures (SOP) and protocols to guide medical content.
  • Research experience
  • Interest in cosmetic skincare/new product development

Core Skills

  • Experience in transforming complex medical jargon into words that a lay audience can easily understand
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English language
  • Strong team working skills
  • Able to communicate message through a number of different mediums (blog/press releases/ podcast/ website etc) #LI-Hybrid
