Working by self and within a team, the "hands on" responsibilities are:- Line manage a small but growing team
- Responsibility for achieving warehouse targets & deadlines
- Oversee all daily warehouse activities to include (this list is not exhaustive):
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles by self and/or with assistance
- Verifying goods to ensure accuracy
- Ensuring security of vehicle and its contents at all times
- Completion of forms & documents by hand
- In conjunction with SAE office and abiding by instructions given, you must plan routes using most efficient and economic means
- Manual handling of items up to 30 kilos by self
- Use of mechanical handling equipment e.g Hand Pallet Trucks
- Daily maintenance and safety inspections on various types/sizes of commercial vehicles
- Strict compliance of all statutory and company regulations relating to the use of commercial vehicles/handling equipment and Health & Safety
- Abide by instructions issued by Supervisor(s) / Line Manager(s) / Director(s)
- Wear Company uniform at all times whilst "On Duty" & present a smart, clean appearance whilst providing polite, courteous attitude at all times
- Order production, projects, tasks within agreed deadlines, reporting regularly on progress to line manager(s) and or Company Directors
- Receive and despatch goods into and out of SAE warehouse
- Load and unload delivery / collection vehicles both manually and by use of counter balance forklift
- Load and unload delivery / collection vehicles by self and / or with assistance
- Daily / Weekly / Monthly stock counting
- Counting & checking quantities of items, accuracy must be demonstrated at all times
- Completion of forms and documents by hand
- Use of I.T stock control / management programs (on the job training to be provided by SAE Logistics)
- Management of work stations and warehouse areas ensuring a clean, tidy and safe working environment
- Prioritising workloads
- Adherence to all company processes and procedures, including Health and Safety (H&S)
- To ensure all parts of the site conform to H&S requirements, and is kept and maintained in a clean, tidy and presentable condition at all times.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all customer goods at all times
- All customers stock / data to be handled and managed with the utmost respect at all times by self and others, working to protect their good name.
- On occasions, be required to work flexible hours to meet the business needs
- Occasional requirement to drive commercial vehicles, to effect the Delivery and Collection of goods of varying sizes and weights
- Ensuring security of vehicles and their contents at all times
- Be a proactive and positive member of the company, demonstrating a high level of professionalism at all times
- To provide support and cooperation in all activities to fellow members of staff
- To undertake other reasonable duties as requested by your Line Manager(s), and or Company Directors
Salary:
From £25,500.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
