An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk to join The Paediatric Emergency and Assessment Unit in Children's Services Directorate, in the Great North Children's Hospital at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Applicants must have excellent communication skills with a pleasant, welcoming personality. Good IT and organizational skills are required.

  • 5 April 202 34 Hours 30 Minutes Per a Week


The successful post holder will provide and maintain an efficient and effective administration service to the ward team and contribute to the delivery of a consistently high standard of patient care as part of the multidisciplinary team 24 hours per day.

  • To provide and maintain efficient and effective administrative support to the Ward Sister/ Charge Nurse and multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a consistently high standard of patient care as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensures case notes, investigations, Xrays and results are available for new admissions, ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • To ensure that case notes are correctly maintained following departmental guidelines and compliance with legislation (Caldicott Guidelines etc).
  • Ensuring PAS system is up to date and accurate.
