Working with the insurance claims handling team, the purpose of the role is to handle cases on behalf of clients and insurance companies with the aim of defending and negotiating settlement.

Description

  • Manage process from first instruction to settlement
  • Advise on liability and causation
  • Gather evidence, including interviewing a preparation of witness statements
  • Court preparation
  • Establish case files
  • Provide clients with written and verbal support through accurate and timely reporting of case
  • Recovery of fees
  • Negotiate settlement arrangements
  • Diary management
  • General admin duties

Profile

Essential:


  • Knowledge/experience of personal injury insurance claims
  • Highly organised
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Strong time management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Experience of practice management IT systems
  • Strong MS office skills

Desirable:


  • Experience of personal injury litigation in sheriff courts.
