EXPERIENCED SECRETARY
To assist the Director and handle any H&S issues within the company.
Shares:
- Twice daily record value shares accurately on spreadsheet.
- Keep record of all share transactions on spreadsheets including listing (for the calculating of the Capital Gains Tax).
Properties:
- Keep records of all rental income on spreadsheet.
- Pay any bills on the properties and list them as outgoings (ready for the annual Tax return).
- Get quotes for building works and liaise with tenants.
- Keep track of residential property tenancy agreements, renew as necessary.
Banks accounts:
- Record details of bank accounts from Internet banking and report balances to MD twice a week.
Other general secretarial duties but not exhaustive:
- Get quotes for family and Company insurance policies (buildings and vehicle fleet).
- From timetotime there could be work requested of you by others within the Company that is outside of the above scope relating to Merefields Electronics Ltd as this forms part of this role.
- Filing of documents.
HSE:
- Health & Safety assistant for the Company (both offices and warehouse).
- Run a weekly fire alarm test, monthly legionella and emergency lighting tests.
- Check that online HSE courses are done
Profile:
- The ability to communicate in English both orally and in written communications effectively and accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationship with the Director.
- Basic knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm - Friday 9am to 5.00pm
Annual Leave: 20 days rising to 25 days + UK Bank Holidays
