Electronic Test Technician

Swindon, Wiltshire

£28,000 Per Annum
An opportunity has arisen for an Electronic Test Technician, to join our client's busy and growing electronics manufacturing team


Electronic Test Technician Role:


  • To test RF over fibre products, as part of the manufacturing team, ensuring delivery of high quality products on time and to the satisfaction of the customer

Electronic Test Technician Responsibilities:


  • Test electronic systems, RF, power supplies and racks
  • RF testing on a variety of products e.g. Gain, P1dB, IP3, Noise Figure
  • Component level fault finding
  • Customer equipment repair
  • Portable appliance testing

Electronic Test Technician Skills:


  • RF test experience e.g. Network/Spectrum Analyser and Noise Figure measurements
  • Understanding of RF principles would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Analytical skills
  • Component level fault finding
  • Manual soldering skills to a very high standard (surface mount and leaded)
  • Ability to follow written procedures
  • Fibre optics knowledge
  • Basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality practices

Electronic Test Technician Ideal Person:


  • ONC/HNC in electronics engineering or equivalent
  • Selfmotivated
  • Passion for electronics
  • Take pride in producing quality work
