Gag Reflex is dedicated to developing the best comic and variety talent in the industry. We also produce live tours, festivals and residencies both nationally and internationally.

We are one of the leading comedy and variety promoters at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, producing 15 shows this year, including and the best-selling show of the entire fringe.


The Live Co-ordinator role would suit a person who is organised, has an eye for detail and is able to multitask effectively.

This role would suit someone who has worked previously in a theatre production team or talent agency but it is not essential.


Most importantly, you must have a positive attitude, a love for arts and comedy, and a willingness to grow within our ambitious and close knit team.

The role requires flexibility as each day differs from the next. Some weekend or after hours work work will be required.


Please note, during the August Edinburgh Fringe Festival you will be required to relocate to Edinburgh with the rest of the GAG Reflex team in order to act as a Producer / Promoter across the month.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take a lead on the administrative aspects of all live work including; advancing, diary management and invoicing
  • Secure consistent live work for Gag Reflex clients by cultivating relationships with promoters and finding new and exciting opportunities as well as working with our partners.
  • Regularly communicate with Gag Reflex artists to continually develop and adapt their career strategy.
  • Programme comedy line ups for private events and festivals using both Gag Reflex Artists and those of other agencies
  • Support the Head of Production in the delivery of our programme. This may include but is not limited to;
  • Equipment maintenance and management.
  • Logistics support
  • Liaising with venues, artists, support staff and promoters.
  • Acting as a Production Assistant on our larger shows potentially sourcing props, costume or equipment.
  • Being part of the creative process.

Essential traits

  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship cultivating skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and be a selfstarter.
  • Computer literate particularly the MS Office Suite.
  • Work well in high pressured enviroments and the ability to problem solve.
  • Numerically literate.

Desirable traits

  • An interest in arts and entertainment industries.
  • Full UK Driving license.
  • Experience of the Adobe suite
  • Experience using Canva
  • Experience driving a LWB Van.
  • Experience of working with comedy promoters.
  • Experience working in a production team.
  • Experience of Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
  • Experience working in live performance venues.

Hours - 40 hours per week (flexible working with key hours being 10:00 - 16:00)
