- has the passion, enthusiasm and genuine desire to ensure that teaching and learning is the best it can be to meet the needs of our fantastic children.
- has up-to-date knowledge of current ideas / thinking around EYFS and Early Child Development.
- has the ability to build practice within Reception so as to ensure a smooth and effective transition into Y1 for all children.
- has the skills to effectively inspire, motivate and support our fantastic staff team, our wonderful children and our parents / carers within the Hillside community.

Essential Qualifications
Degree / Qualified teacher status

Early Years Specialism or qualification

Recent participation in a range of relevant in-service training


Essential Experience
Experience of teaching in EYFS and being an exemplary teacher

Delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in the EYFS

Ability to demonstrate innovation as an Early Years practitioner, effectively lead staff in planning, preparing learning experiences, activities and displays

National policy development, priorities and statutory frameworks
