    Description

    The role of an Assurance Actuary is crucial in ensuring the quality and robustness of actuarial reporting, methodologies, and assumptions.

    This involves reviewing and challenging across various areas, such as new business pricing, business planning, ORSA, and model changes.

    The individual will collaborate with senior actuarial professionals to ensure that all aspects of actuarial reporting are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Reviewing and verifying actuarial models and assumptions
    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, such as Solvency II and IFRS17
    • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
    • Providing technical support and guidance to colleagues

    In addition to these key responsibilities, the Assurance Actuary will also have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:

    • Developing and implementing new actuarial models and methodologies
    • Conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations for mitigation
    • Working with data analytics teams to improve data quality and accuracy

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in actuarial science, with 3+ years PQE and experience in the UK life insurance market. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior professionals and stakeholders.
