Our client is seeking a Procurement Project Officer to play a crucial role in their migration to Proactis, an e-procurement system and also to manage the procurement of SEN Home to School transport contracts.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and support the transition from manual procurement processes to the eprocurement system Proactis, ensuring a seamless integration
  • Utilize experience in eportals and electronic procurement processes to streamline and enhance the efficiency of purchasing goods and services electronically
  • Oversee the procurement of contracts using the Proactis system. This will involve uploading specifications, managing the tendering process, awarding contracts, and ensuring proper closure within the system
  • Monitor all tender processes to guarantee compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. You will play a key role in ensuring tenders are awarded in a fair, transparent, and compliant manner
  • Effectively manage all aspects of the SEN Home to School transport contracts, including performance tracking, compliance monitoring, and handling any issues that may arise during the contract period
  • Support staff and pass on system knowledge

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in managing procurement processes, ideally within the education or public sector. Knowledge of eprocurement systems is essential
  • Demonstrated experience in working with the Proactis system, including managing contracts, tendering, and reporting functionalities
  • Familiarity with electronic buying processes and an understanding of eportals and their integration into procurement workflows
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Experience buying and procuring electronically
  • Proactis superuser
