We have branches throughout Cornwall and Devon offering a variety of goods and services including supply only, and supply and fit of PVCu, aluminium, architectural glass and joinery to the trade and domestic market.

The Role
We're currently looking for a Production Supervisor to lead and motivate our team of fabricators at our aluminium factory.

You'll be reporting to the Aluminium Production Manager on all production activities while supervising the production team to ensure that quality and productivity are consistently achieved according to our challenging production schedule.

With our knowledgeable in house experience you'll be supported with excellent technical support from the Aluminium Technical Manager and although previous experience of working in aluminium fabrication would be a significant advantage, it's not essential.

That said, previous experience of supervising or managing a factory environment is essential.

Experience of effective people management and the ability to interpret basic factory paperwork, as well as basic I.T. skills are essential.

Great communication skills, leadership, a positive attitude and being a good motivator are all traits that would suit this role.

Helping keep the team engaged and continuous improvements in efficieny is a key part of the role.

You will champion our high standards of health and safety whilst ensuring the production schedule is maintained through effective organisation and manipulating.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full accountability for the shift; ensuring safety and performance targets are achieved.
• Lead/assist with continuous improvement projects and other similar activities.
• Ensure all operators are maintaining output levels in line with targets and recording all major events e.g. downtime
• Maintain high standards adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
• Experience of prioritizing individual/team workloads.
• Practiced in decision making in a busy environment.

• Developing Quality Control processes and procedures

Salary:
£29,000 - £36000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.


Hours:
Full time 42.5 hours Monday to Friday - 8.00am to 5.00pm
