The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde is one of the largest engineering faculties in the UK, and the largest in Scotland.

As a Faculty Officer you will undertake a variety of duties managed by the Faculty Academic Team which will typically include the provision of specialist, professional advice to members of the Faculty Executive Team and staff in our departments in relation to relevant University and Faculty policies and procedures; the management of Faculty strategic committees and/or working groups; analyse and interpret complex data, prepare reports and other written material to inform and support the development and delivery of Faculty academic strategy; and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks for our academic business.
As part of a Team you will support the management of the Faculty's quality assurance framework, develop and manage initiatives aimed at enhancing the student experience; manage the operation of undergraduate and postgraduate Boards of Examiners; manage the Faculty academic appeals process; and conduct student complaint investigations.
To be considered for the role you will be educated to a minimum of degree level or have equivalent relevant professional experience.
You will have experience of contributing to the development and delivery of strategy, managing committees and experience of analysing and interpreting large, complex data sets.
You will have proven ability to manage and prioritise your own workload as well as addressing competing demands from stakeholders, internally and externally.
Proven problem-solving capabilities are essential, as are excellent interpersonal skills, presentation and written communication skills and an ability to lead projects and initiatives and delegate tasks to ensure delivery.
You will have an ability to work collaboratively across and out-with the university and an ability to influence decision-makers.Faculty Officer (Academic
