Overview:
We are currently seeking a Refuse/Waste Collector to join our waste management team. The role involves collecting and disposing of refuse from residential and commercial areas.

If you are a reliable individual with experience in van driving and possess good communication skills, we would like to hear from you.


Responsibilities:


  • Drive a 7.5 tonne Luton van collection vehicle around designated routes for refuse collection.
  • Collect waste from residential and commercial properties.
  • Empty refuse containers into the vehicle for transportation to disposal sites.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate collection activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the refuse collection vehicle.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations during waste collection activities.

Skills:


  • Experience as a van driver or in commercial driving is essential.
  • Proficiency in operating flatbed vehicles for refuse collection.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a warehouse or outdoor environment.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous.
  • Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of the collection vehicle.

Pay:
£155.00 per day

Experience:
