Pelican Bus & Coach is the UK and Ireland importer and distributor for YUTONG Buses and Coaches. Based near Leeds, it is wholly owned by Pelican Engineering Co. Ltd which was established in 1919 and has traded continuously since that date.

Pelican is a successful family business with over 170 employees across multiple sites and are committed to continuous development of our people.

Due to continued growth we are seeking an additional Sales & Workshop parts co-ordinator with an automotive or transport related background for our expanding YUTONG site based in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

The Role:

Assist in ordering all parts for sales vehicles prior to delivery
Expedite any parts issues
Manage parts tracking to a dedicated sales/production area, distribute and book out as required
Manage the ordering of standard production parts Griptones, battery guards, vehicle lifts, destination boards, restraints etc.
Book and issue all PDI parts including spec items
Carry out regular stock checks of onsite parts
Expedite and manage the parts delivery process either to the workshops or to China, ensuring goods are despatched in the most economical way forward
Assist the Project Manager on sourcing of parts and solutions
Manage all fleet campaign parts, checking quantities and booking in and out of stock as required
Order all workshop parts and manage parts returns between depots and warranty returns
Manage consumable levels within the workshop
Manage engineer van stocks
Any other adhoc duties as required

Essential skills required:

Parts/ automotive experience

Experience of parts management systems

Great customer service skills and a professional manner.

Microsoft Office skills including Excel
