Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Dr Mateja Peter (Principal Investigator) and Dr Sanja Badanjak (co-Principal Investigator, University of Edinburgh) conducting research for a UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office funded project entitled Global Fragmentation and Peacemaking.


The primary duties will be:
- to develop a PeaceRep Global Peacemaking Database,
- to support the research project's comparative data collection on modalities of peace mediation,
- to conduct quantitative analyses and prepare and disseminate the research findings.


This work is being carried out at St Andrews School of International Relations, as part of Peace and Conflict Resolution Evidence Platform (PeaceRep), funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.


The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in international relations, political science, or a related discipline, with expertise in creating quantitative datasets and conducting quantitative data analysis.

The post is available for 12 months in the first instance, with a possibility of renewal until April 2026. The post is starting in July 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter.
