JOB TITLE:
PLANNER / STOCK CONTROLLER

LOCATION:
LIVINGSTON

SALARY:
£25,700
Training can take up to 12 months to complete in full.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintaining adequate stock levels to ensure optimum Ripening Programs are achieved and are as efficient as possible.
Planning incoming transport to ensure continuity of supply.
To manage inbound shipments, ensuring the warehouse team have clear information regarding what is due to arrive, identifying inventory required for sales orders, and flagging any critical items.
Allocation of rooms for green fruit depending on sales requirements.
Liaising with hauliers to ensure timely deliveries of fruit.
Make decisions on the most effective and efficient use of the bananas.
Gassing fruit in rooms (with occasionally checking).
Ripening bananas according to customer specifications.
At times the position requires some confidentiality, and it is important that this is adhered to.
To ensure working area is kept tidy to comply with Health & Safety.
To conform to the Personnel Hygiene and Housekeeping Notice and Declaration.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Full training will be given.

Pallet truck and Forklift truck licence an advantage but not essential.

Normal shift will be Tuesday to Saturday, however other days may be required to cover holidays/sickness etc. Hours will be between 4.30am pm. These times are variable. 8 working hours per day.

Will be required to cover for emergency call outs on odd occasions, which could be during the night on occasions.

Some degree of flexibility will be required in terms of shifts and hours of work, in order to meet the demands of the business.

Monthly paid position, no overtime paid - however additional hours worked may be given back as lieu time.
