Seven Resourcing are looking for a Team Manager to work with the Let's Talk Team in South Shields.

This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying £25.18 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).

The working hours arefrom Monday - Friday (9am - 5pm).


The role:


As a Team Manager you will have accountability for the Let's Talk Team and your role is pivotal to promoting and governing excellent practice and developing excellent practitioners.


You will support the development and delivery of effective evidence-based practice in Adult Social Care and be responsible for ensuring practice is safe, person centred and underpinned by our Let's Talk Together strengths-based approach.

You will ensurethat your team is highly effective, meets all statutory requirements and supports all aspects of practice development through effective performance management oversite.

You will work alongside other managers to ensure the embedding of practice developmentand quality assurance within Adults and Integrated Care.


Working closely with your Community Services Manager you will provide visible leadership that is grounded by sound and evidence based social work and safeguarding best practice, the role will challenge the status quo and help lead change to ensure Adultswithin South Tyneside are supported to Live Better Lives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all staff are working in line with the principles of our Let's Talk Together strengthsbased approach, promoting health and wellbeing.
  • Ensure staff are providing good quality information, advice and guidance to adopt a preventative approach.
  • Ensure your team are working as one team.
  • Accountability for delivering against team and individual objectives set by the Community Services Manager.
  • Attend or chair relevant meetings which require high level professional input or where practitioners may need to be supported.
  • Support and encourage all staff to promote the use of personal budgets and direct payments to enable individuals to maximise their opportunities for selfdirected support.
  • Ensure statutory duties are adhered to and any issues are reported in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with current and future legislative duties.
  • Ensure effective management of safeguarding within council policy and procedures.
  • Ensure scrutiny of packages of support so effective community options are explored whilst keeping people safe.
  • Embed our Shared Values and Behaviour Framework ensuring that your team regularly display the behaviours of Curiosity, Accountability, Responsive and Empowerment.
  • Support staff to manage risk and create a culture of positive risk taking.
  • You will work with the Community Services Manager to help facilitate teambased learning and development, in line with priority areas for improvement and identify gaps in professional capabilities and put in place relevant development plans.

Qualifications:

N/A.


Experience:
If you have Adult Social Care experience or Call Centre experience this could be the role for you.


Compliance:
Current DBS check and 2 x references.


Travel:
Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.


Hours:37.5 hours p/w.
