The Role

Production Operative


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Operative to join our Celotex team at our new £20 million plant, recently opened in Eggborough with ambitious growth plans.

You will be part of the fundamental team recruited to operate the plantthat manufactures our Celotex insulation materials, helping to create a site renowned for excellence.


The successful Production Operative will be responsible for the correct operation of the plant in accordance with Company standards and specifications to ensure the safe, continuous, effective, and efficient production of Celotex Products.


You will be familiar with all raw materials including chemicals, facing, and packaging, and ensure all instructions relating to their storage, stock rotation, labelling, transport, use, handling, disposal, specifications, and supplier labelling, are understoodand followed.


Shift Patterns:


Days Tuesday - Thursday 07.00am - 7.00pm and Friday 7.00am - 1.00pm

Nights Tuesday - Thursday 7.00pm - 7.00am

What will I be doing in the role?
You will have a varied and interesting role as Production Operative, which will involve:

  • Selecting the correct chemicals, materials, and programme required for each production run, making necessary and authorised adjustments to the equipment to produce the best quality products.
  • Monitoring equipment performance, reporting any defects or problems and timescales for resolution immediately to the Production Team Leader and Shift Manager. Reject any suspect material.
  • Supporting the QC Coordinator and Operations Team with problem solving and troubleshooting in the event of any process and product quality related issues. Managing and completing all paperwork well and timely, accurately logging all stoppages, faults, downtime,etc. in the relevant place.
  • Fulfilling your allocated duties relating to TPM, 5S, AM (Autonomous Maintenance), cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and housekeeping of plant and equipment.
  • Safely and correctly handling all equipment and materials at all times.

  • Valid and fully certified counterbalance forklift truck licence.
  • Strong awareness and respect for health and safety, and proven adherence to requirements.

  • Completed secondary school level education, or equivalent
