Venn Group's specialist legal team are currently working with an ambitious
Local Authority in the
East Midlandsarea who are recruiting for a
Permanent Employment Lawyerto join their department.

Expected Salary
:
£52, £62,975.00 per annum

Working pattern
:
Hybrid Working + Full Time Hours
**Duties may include: - Conducting complex legal advice to clients both internal and external to the County Council

Maintaining thorough knowledge and understanding of the legal framework and operation of local government
Conducting judicial review proceedings and advocacy in the Family Court
Managing a team's workload including attracting and developing new clients/areas/pieces of work and being proactive in leading, managing or supervising people successfully
Conducting legal research, interpret legislation and summarise the key points of case law.
Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases to include all preproceedings
Advising at LPM and PLO meetings
Performing own advocacy to include contested and final hearings
Advising client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare law
Advising on public law children matters relating to care and placement proceedings, fostering and adoption, and general children's social care matters.
Conducting Advocacy in all tiers of court, including the High court, Family Court and Court of Protection

An attractive salary of
