About the role
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join the school on a full-time basis.
The role will be as a general Teaching Assistant working in the classroom and 1:1 with students that need extra support with their learning.
The role starts immediately and is long term.The role is Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the teacher to ensure that the support needs of pupils are met.
- Promote the general success, progress and achievement of pupils and report any concerns to the SENCo or relevant teacher.
- Develop a range of strategies to engage pupils with tasks set by the teacher
- Promote and reinforce pupils selfesteem, appropriate learning behaviour and levels of effort.
- Modify resources to support pupils with their learning and development.
- Assist generally with classroom and pupil management.
- Contribute to the maintenance of pupil records for attendance, behaviour and reviews of progress.
- Work with pupils on agreed tasks.

- The school is based in Royton
- Must hold an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- An appropriate professional qualification at Level 2 NVQ, or equivalent qualifications.
- The ability to effectively support pupils with a range of needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to motivate pupils.
- Supportive, positive and nonjudgemental attitude.
- Good administrative and record keeping skills.
- Be able to respond effectively to the pupil's individual needs.
Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temporary contract
Salary:
£70.00-£75.00 per day

Experience:
- teaching assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- classroom support: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred)
