Description
Band - Relational Therapist

Are you a relational therapist/counsellor looking to be part of an innovative and dynamic Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service, joining part of an already well established Relational Therapies Team.

The post holder will provide high intensity therapies to clients who have experienced anxiety disorders and depression as a result of relational difficulties.

They will also have the opportunity to undertake IAPT compliant training to qualify in an accreditable specific relational modality.

The post holder will be expected to carry out telephone and face to face assessments, individual and group work as part of their case load.

We value experience of delivering therapy in a group format as well as being dual trained in more than one modality.

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and work in various community settings (including GP surgeries) and psychological treatment centres or Children's Centres.

At present, the majority of clinical work is delivered remotely, with a small provision of face-to-face contacts being offered from our clinical bases in Bedford and Leighton Buzzard.

As an IAPT service we seek to provide ease of access for service users and to this end there will be a requirement to work flexible hours between 8am and 8 pm based on service requirements.

Whilst this post is based in Bedfordshire, you may at times be required to provide cover and assistance to other East London Foundation Trust IAPT teams, for example supervision by the medium of Teams, cross service trainings, etc.

The post holder will be expected to work constructively and flexibly as part of the Bedfordshire Wellbeing Service team and with colleagues in other East London Foundation Trust IAPT teams.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve

Our values are:
We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations
